Poll: Nearly one in four Millennials have their parents pay for their rent
More than a third say parents cover at least one bill.
Nearly 25% of all Millennials have their rent paid by their parents, according to a new poll in Virginia which shows a high number of young adults having at least one bill footed by their mothers and/or fathers.
The OnePoll/Chartway Credit Union survey found that "almost one-quarter (24%) of millennials polled say their parents cover their rent," according to Talker.
A larger number, meanwhile—35%—claim that "they still have at least one bill on their parents’ tab."
Nearly three-quarters of respondents say they plan to uptake more of their own bills in the near future.
Among the most common bills paid for, according to those surveyed, are rent, utilities and groceries.
