Prominent pollster says Biden's ties to China could cause a real problem for him politically
"The cutting issue that would end Biden's political fortune, is if he was tied to Communist China with these payoffs and the money," McLaughlin said.
Prominent pollster and political consultant John McLaughlin says that President Joe Biden's family connections to China could harm him politically going into 2024.
"The cutting issue that would end Biden's political fortune is if he was tied to Communist China with these payoffs and the money," McLaughlin said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "And because now his policies are putting America at risk."
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced last month that the committee had uncovered information suggesting that "10 or 12 Biden family members" participated in efforts to "launder or hide" money from "Communist China and other countries around the world."
The White House pushed back against Comer's probe, claiming it is an "evidence-free, politically-motivated 'investigation'" into the Biden family.
According to McLaughlin, a recent poll shows that if voters had known earlier about Biden's possible ties to China, they would have voted for former President Donald Trump in 2020.
"We did a poll at the end of May," he said. "This was right after the House Republicans revealed the banking wires from China to the Biden family. And only 55% were aware that the Bidens got money from China. If they were aware of it, they voted for Trump 60-33. If they were not aware of it, they voted for Biden 52-33.
He then proceeded to call out the mainstream media for not bringing more attention to the China connection story.
"The mainstream media no longer covers the Biden family," McLaughlin concluded. They cover up for the Biden family."
