Ramaswamy catches up to DeSantis for second place in GOP presidential primary: poll
The poll surveyed 800 likely GOP primary voters.
Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has caught up to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a recent national poll for the 2024 GOP presidential primary.
According to a poll conducted by Kaplan Strategies, Ramaswamy and DeSantis are tied at 12%. The poll surveyed 800 likely GOP primary voters.
Former President Donald Trump leads in the poll at 48%.
“Ramaswamy outperformed six other hopefuls by more than double, marking a significant surprise in this poll," pollster Doug Kaplan said, according to the Washington Examiner.
The survey has a margin of error of 3.5%.
Ramaswamy is the first millennial to run for U.S. president as a Republican and has made a lot of his messaging towards young people and bringing back American pride.
He has also recently rejected the notion that he would serve in the Trump administration if Trump wins the election in 2024.
