Popular 'Libs of Tik Tok' conservative account suspended from Facebook in possible 'error'
Account has faced suspensions on Twitter and Tik Tok as well.
Libs of Tik Tok, the highly popular social media brand that has become a conservative powerhouse after months of sharing and re-posting left-wing videos online, was apparently permanently suspended from Facebook this week, though the account's owner revealed that the company may only have done so in "error."
Chaya Raichik, who owns the Libs of Tik Tok handle, posted to Twitter on Wednesday evening that "Facebook just suspended our account. No reason given."
An image of the suspension notice claimed that the Libs of Tik Tok account "didn't follow [Facebook's] community standards," and that the company "already reviewed this decision and it can't be reversed," effectively making the suspension final and permanent.
In a followup tweet, however, the account said that "Facebook is telling us that they did not suspend our account. We have no access though and are locked out. Looks like it might be an 'error'. We should be back up and running soon."
The Libs of Tik Tok handle has generated major controversy by sharing with its wide audience an ongoing series of videos posted to Tik Tok by liberal activists, particularly LBGT activists.
Many of the videos are of teachers explaining how they are instructing their young students in LGBT and other sexuality topics. Libs of Tik Tok has been accused of harassing behavior by sharing the videos, which are generally publicly available elsewhere on the Internet.
