Former Rep. Mike Rogers holds a modest lead over all of the possible Democratic candidates in the Michigan Senate race, a recent poll has revealed.

While Rogers is expected to secure the Republican nomination handily, the Democrats face a competitive primary, including Rep. Haley Stevens, state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, and former county official Abdul El-Sayed.

In the latest Glengariff Group survey, Rogers earned 43.8% support among likely voters, compared to 41.5% who backed Stevens. Against McMorrow, Rogers led with 42.8% to her 40.7%. Against El-Sayed, he led with 44.7% to the Democrat's 39.8%.

Conducted April 28 through May 1, the survey questioned 600 likely general election voters and had a margin of error of +/- 4%.

Rogers previously ran for the Michigan seat in 2024, but narrowly lost out to Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich. The Michigan race is expected to present one of the strongest opportunities for Republicans to pick up a seat in the upper chamber.
