Senators Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., are expected to introduce legislation to stop U.S. funding to the United Nations over its refusal to condemn Hamas.

"The U.N. is more on the lines of the Joe Biden administration and a one world government," Tuberville said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "They can't pass anything for human rights. They got some people on these human rights committees that get an opportunity to vote that have no human rights ... So the U.N. is out of date."

Earlier this week, the United Nations failed to pass an amendment to condemn Hamas following the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel.

"It’s officially time to withdraw all U.S. funding for the U.N.," Lee wrote on the social media platform X. "The U.N. does a lot of bad things. And if it can’t even do a good thing as simple as condemning war crimes, it’s over between us."

Tuberville stated that the U.N. doesn't do anything beneficial for the U.S.

"The U.N. needs to be either revamped or closed down," he stated. "We basically pay for the U.N. and they do nothing for the United States of America."

Lee stated that he has begun "drafting legislation" to pull funding from the U.N.

"We're gonna continue to push it," Tuberville said when asked about the future of the legislation. "It's all about education. If you don't talk about it, you don't get it in front of the people ... then it never gets out there. The American people don't really want to know a lot of stuff. But now, we're getting to the point now where they're funding all this with their taxpayer money, they need to know really what's happening in this country."
