Democratic Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema on Thursday announced that she would support the $740 billion budget reconciliation package negotiated between Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin.

"Subject to the Parliamentarian's review, I'll move forward," she said, according to USA Today.

"I am pleased to report that we have reached an agreement on the Inflation Reduction Act that I believe will receive the support of the entire Senate Democratic conference," Schumer announced following Sinema's comments.

Sinema was the last Democratic holdout in the Senate after Manchin announced that he and Schumer had come to an agreement on the package's tax and environmental provisions.

The Arizona senator's resistance was due, in part, to the plan's closing of the carried interest tax loophole, which she opposed. That consideration, however, ceased to be an obstacle following the provision's removal from the legislation.

"We have agreed to remove the carried interest tax provision, protect advanced manufacturing, and boost our clean energy economy in the Senate's budget reconciliation legislation," Sinema said.

The Senate will begin consideration of the Inflation Reduction Act on Saturday and hold its first vote at 12:30 p.m.

Though Manchin and Sinema have both stood in the way of major Biden administration legislative efforts in the past, their support on the budget deal will allow Democrats to present a unified front and likely hand the president a significant victory.
