Tim Scott's Great Opportunity PAC to drop $14 million in bid to woo black, low-propensity voters

The Great Opportunity PAC, which formed following the end of South Carolina GOP Sen. Tim Scott's presidential run, plans to spend $14 million on efforts to win black and low-propensity voters in key swing states.
Scott unsuccessfully ran for the Republican nomination in 2020, but has since emerged as a leading contender to become former President Donald Trump's running mate.
"I think there’s been seed in the soil that’s been germinating. Now the question is, are there laborers available to take advantage of the harvest?" Scott said, according to Politico, referencing what he sees as a shift in the political leanings of minority groups.
The $14 million campaign will focus primary on voter contact efforts and survey analytics and does not plan to invest in more traditional voter outreach. The group currently claims to have roughly $7 million available to begin its efforts, which they plan to continue through the election.

"I thought Tim Scott didn't run as good of a race as he's capable of running for himself, but as a surrogate for me, he's unbelievable. He's been incredible," Trump said recently.
