The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop, then lifted it at about 8 a.m.

The airline resumed flights after the FAA lifted the ground stop.

“A technical issue is affecting American flights this morning,” an airline spokesperson told CNN before fligths resumed. “Our teams are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”
