Boeing whistleblower who sounded alarm on 737 Max defects dies from infection

A second Boeing whistleblower who sounded the alarm about one of the company's suppliers ignoring production defects on the 737 Max plane died on Tuesday, according to news reports.

Two months ago, a Boeing employee, John Barnett, 62, raised similar concerns and died in Charleston, S.C. from what appeared to be a "self-inflicted gunshot wound," the coroner stated.

Joshua Dean, 45, was a former quality auditor at Spirit AeroSystems from Wichita, Kan. He died Tuesday morning from a staph infection called Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, according to a report from the Seattle Times.
