Trump to sit for interview with NBC's Kristen Welker: report
President Joe Biden has received an invitation from the network to sit for a similar interview.
Former President Donald Trump will sit for an interview with NBC's Kristen Welker on Sunday, marking her debut as host of "Meet the Press."
Trump has not appeared on the program since 2019. His appearance will also mark the first legacy media interview for the former president since Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis brought charges against him, CNN noted.
Welker is taking over for longtime Trump critic Chuck Todd. Her interview will be pre-taped and fact-checked, according to Variety's Brian Steinberg. Welker previously moderated one of the 2020 presidential debates in which Trump participated.
