12 dead after stampede at a stadium in El Salvador

A stampede at Cuscatlan Stadium in San Salvador, El Salvador, during a quarter-final soccer match between Alianza and FAS resulted in at least 12 deaths and numerous injuries.

President Nayib Bukele announced an investigation, vowing to hold accountable anyone responsible, including teams, managers, the stadium, ticket office, and relevant authorities.
