AG Garland denies political meddling in Hunter Biden probe

At a press conference in Washington Friday, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland rejected allegations that the Department of Justice had interfered with U.S. attorney David Weiss’ criminal investigation into Hunter Biden. “This constitutes an attack on an institution that is essential to American democracy and essential to the safety of the American people. Nothing could be further from the truth,” said Garland.
