Cleveland mother faces murder charges for abandoning her baby to go on 10-day vacation

A 31-year-old mother from Cleveland, Ohio was indicted on murder charges Monday for allegedly leaving her 16-month-old daughter at home while she went on vacation. According to prosecutors, Kristel Candelario left on June 6 for a 10-day vacation to Puerto Rico and Detroit, Michigan, leaving her child in a play pin in their home. Candelario called 911 when she returned on June 16 and found her daughter unresponsive; emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
