Disney scraps $1 billion campus development in central Florida

The Walt Disney Co. announced the cancelation of a $1 billion employee campus development in Lake Nona, Florida in a memo to staff on Thursday. Josh D'Amaro, Disney's head of Parks, Experiences, and Products cited “changing business conditions” as cause for abandoning the project. The office campus, slated to open in 2026, planned to relocate workers from a California division of the company and would have created more than 2,000 jobs.
