DOJ requests Sam Bankman-Fried be held behind bars until trial

Justice Department prosecutors asked a federal judge Friday to revoke FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s bail and hold him in detention until his October trial. In the legal filing, prosecutors claimed Bankman-Fried has attempted to tamper with witnesses, communicate inside information with reporters, and hide his internet activity with a VPN. Defense attorneys are instead pushing for a gag order on Bankman-Fried and all witnesses.
