Dr. Kelly Victory: Biden’s preemptive pardon for Fauci sets dangerous precedent for executive branch

Dr. Kelly Victory, chief of disaster and emergency medicine at The Wellness Company, warns that former President Joe Biden’s preemptive pardon for Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and COVID advisor to the Biden administration, sets a dangerous precedent. “If these preemptive pardons actually stand the test of legal challenge, then we have pretty much set ourselves up for a perpetual, lawless executive branch,” she says. “Because what is to stop any president in his or her term from telling people, ‘Look, do whatever the heck you want and in the final hour, I’ll just pardon you and you’ll never be tried.’”
