Europe’s human rights court demands Russia pay Navalny $43,000 over 2020 poisoning incident

The European Human Rights Court issued a ruling Tuesday ordering Russia to pay opposition leader Alexei Navalny $43,000 for failing to carry out an effective investigation into his 2020 fatal poisoning. The court concluded that Russian authorities violated Navalny’s human rights and failed to explore political motives for the attempted murder.
