A close associate of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was taken into FBI custody Thursday. Nate Paul, a real estate investor, is being held at the Travis County jail in Austin on a currently undetermined felony charge. Pauls' relationship with Paxton is a key focus of impeachment articles brought against Paxton last month. Paxton is currently suspended while he awaits impeachment trial. Both men have denied wrongdoing.
