Fmr. US Rep. Collins reacts to Speaker Johnson’s move to extend FISA into Spring 2024
Former U.S. Representative Doug Collins (R-GA) says it's “frustrating” to see House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announce a temporary extension for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act until April 2024, after pulling dueling FISA reform bills off the table on Tuesday. Collins says Speaker Johnson and the Republican conference will still be left with the "exact same” issue once the temporary extension expires in four months.
