Golden State Killer sentenced to 26 life terms over murders, kidnappings
Notorious serial killer Joseph James DeAngelo, known as the Golden State Killer for the brutal series of rapes, murders and kidnappings he carried out in California in the 1970s and 1980s, was sentenced to 26 life sentences today, bringing to a close an investigation that began nearly five decades ago.
