President Joe Biden held a press conference from the Oval Office Friday condemning the Supreme Court’s decision invalidating his student loan forgiveness program that would have canceled more than $400 billion in college loan debt. Biden said it was hypocritical that Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for small businesses issued during the pandemic forgave an average of $70,000 per borrower but Biden’s proposal to null up to $20,000 per student was axed.
