UK PM Truss rejects call to resign

British Prime Minister Liz Truss said she was a “fighter, not a quitter” and rejected a call to resign during Prime Minister’s Questions at the House of Commons on Wednesday, October 19. The session was the first Prime Minister’s Questions since newly appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt scrapped a tax package unveiled by Truss’s government less than a month ago.
