IRS: mistakenly exposed taxpayer info to non-profits
The IRS announced Friday that it made an error that mistakenly exposed taxpayer data belonging to non-profits online. The error involves anyone who filed 990 tax forms and may affect as many as 120 thousand people. IRS officials stated that they will be removing the files offline as soon as possible and contacting those affected.
