Maria Vega accepts Javier Vega Jr. Award, named after son who died in line of duty
Maria Vega accepts the Javier Vega Jr. Award on behalf of her late son, a border patrol agent who was murdered by an illegal immigrant in 2014. “How can anyone defend illegal aliens? What about the American people? Why aren’t we a priority? And as long as I’m alive, I’m going to be a voice for my son and for all the angel families who lost a child,” she says.
