Maryland Gov. defends new gun restriction laws after hit with lawsuit from NRA

Governor Wes Moore sat down with CNN on Thursday to address Maryland’s newest concealed carry laws that have the state embroiled in a lawsuit with the NRA. “They’re common-sense gun laws that are simply saying that people should not be allowed to bring firearms into a nursery or into a government building,” said Gov. Moore. The law that is the target of the NRA lawsuit prohibits concealed carry owners from taking their guns into special-purpose areas such as schools, hospitals, stadiums, and bars.
