Mexico's former safety chief goes on trial in US drug case
Opening statements began this Monday morning in the trial of former Mexican Secretary of Public Security Genaro García Luna, who could face decades of prison time based on allegations that he took millions of dollars in bribes in exchange for helping a drug cartel that he was supposed to stop.
