Newsom created a $125M fund for undocumented immigrants

Gov. Gavin Newsom said that an estimated 2.7 million Californians have filed for unemployment benefits during the coronavirus crisis, which has forced many businesses to shut their doors.
Through an executive order, Newsom extended the hours of the unemployment call center to help the process those who have filed claims.
Newsom also said that undocumented immigrants, who comprise 10% of the state's workforce, will be eligible to tap into a $125 million relief fund.
The $2 trillion federal stimulus package did not include aid to undocumented workers.
