Nicholas Giordano: Schools are focused on guiding students through emotion instead of education
Campus Reform Higher Education Fellow Nicholas Giordano explains how the Department of Education has devolved the American education system, especially over the last several years. “Just look at the reaction to the presidential election where you had the University of Oregon that was offering therapy animals so that students could cope with the election results. George Washington University was offering students milk and cookies,” he says. “You know, we’re constantly saying that the students of today are the future leaders of tomorrow. Why aren’t we treating them like that?”
