North Korea hosts Chinese delegation during Armistice Anniversary

North Korean officials held a formal reception in Pyongyang Wednesday to honor the arrival of China’s delegation to the capital. During the reception, Workers’ Party of Korea Central Committee senior official Kim Song Nam paid tribute to the “martyrs and veterans” of the Chinese army division who for fought for North Korea during the Korean War. Russian delegates also visited North Korea this week to join in commemorating the country’s Victory Day, marking 70 years of the Korean armistice.
