Portland woman knocked unconscious in attack with metal bottle, blames lack of police funding

A Portland doctor has described how she was knocked unconscious by a metal bottle thrown by an unknown suspect while walking with a friend on July 28th. Mary Costantino told Fox News the bottle was “hurled pretty hard” and hit her in the face. She said she “woke up on the ground, blood pouring out of her mouth.” Costantino said she blamed city authorities for defunding police, saying there were not enough officers to protect citizens. Police released video of the incident on August 2. Detectives with Portland’s Major Crimes Unit were requesting the public’s help with identifying and locating the suspect in what they said was a “seemingly random assault.” Credit: Portland Police via Storyful
