President Biden announces federal pardons for simple marijuana possession

President Joe Biden announced that the United States will be pardoning all prior federal and D.C offenses of simple marijuana possession. Biden stated that the White House had petitioned state governors to consider pardons at the state level for marjiuana possession charges. He also stated in his address that the Biden Administration has instructed the Department of Health and Human Services to review marjiuana's legal scheduling by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
