Sen. Rubio calls Chinese spy ballon incident "unprecedented"

"What we saw this week, it's unprecedented." Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) responded to CNN's Jake Tapper's questions regarding a senior US defense official saying there were three instances during the Trump administration that China briefly transited a surveillance balloon over the continental United States. Sen. Rubio responded saying based on the balloon's route over sensitive military areas, this week's incident "is no comparison to anything that may have happened up to this point."
