Senate probe finds Credit Suisse neglected investigations into Nazi-linked accounts
According to a press release published Tuesday from the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, Credit Suisse neglected to fully investigate accusations of Nazi clients and Nazi-affiliated accounts linked to their services as recently as 2020. The Swiss investment bank reportedly fired an independent Ombudsperson overseeing the internal review, leaving significant gaps in the search for Nazi-linked accounts. A March 2020 report by Jewish human rights organization Simon Wiesenthal Center linked Credit Suisse bank accounts to a list of 12,000 Nazis in Argentina.
