Several People Injured in Building Explosion on Chicago's West Side

At least six people were hospitalized, including three in “serious to critical” condition, after an explosion at a building in the South Austin neighborhood of Chicago on Tuesday morning, September 20, the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) said. The cause of the explosion was undetermined, the fire department added. A police bomb squad was at the scene along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and an adjacent building had been evacuated, the CFD said.
