Speaker McCarthy says VA bill spends more than budget proposed under Obama administration

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told a CNN reporter in Jerusalem, Israel Monday that the Limit, Save, Grow Act would not cut funding to veterans’ affairs. “If you look at back to the Obama-Biden budget that they passed for the next 10 years, this actually spends more than what they proposed at this time,” said Speaker McCarthy.
