Transportation Sec. Buttigieg asks major railroads to join safety hazard reporting system

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg is asking all major railroads to join a voluntary hazard reporting system. Buttigieg sent letters to seven CEOs requesting they participate in the Confidential Close Call Reporting System. The railroad company heads will have until the end of the week to reply.
