Trump appeals E. Jean Carroll verdict

Donald Trump’s attorney has filed to appeal a Manhattan jury’s verdict that found the former president liable for defamation and battery in the E. Jean Carroll civil suit. His lawyer stated earlier in the week that Trump planned to contest the verdict.
