US Air Force condemns 'unsafe' behavior of Russian aircraft over Syria

The U.S. Air Force has condemned “unprofessional and unsafe” behavior by Russian SU-35 aircraft over Syria after incidents involving US MQ-9 drones on July 5th. Declassified video shows the incidents. In one, the U.S. Air Force said a Russian SU-35 employed parachute flares in the flight path of an MQ-9 drone. In another, the Air Force said an SU-23 pilot engaged afterburner directly in front of an MQ-9, reducing its operator’s ability to safely fly the aircraft. Credit: US Air Force via Storyful
