US launches criminal probe into TikTok’s parent company
The U.S. government has announced a criminal investigation into TikTok’s parent company ByteDance over improper surveillance of American citizens. The Department of Justice, FBI, and U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia are involved in the investigation.
