Victoria Coates calls on the Biden administration to supply Cuba with internet

Amid rising protests in Cuba against the government’s oppressive regime, Victoria Coates, Vice President of Foreign Policy at the Heritage Foundation, says the Biden administration should use its contracts with Elon Musk’s Starlink to provide the country with internet. “I think it would be a generational change to get a more U.S.-friendly government in Cuba, you know, lessen the Russian and the Chinese influence,” Coates says. “This is right off of our shores. It should be a topic of great interest to the United States government. I’m glad the Congress is looking at it.”
