Obama's half-sister among demonstrators teargassed in Kenya while protesting finance bill

Kenyan lawmakers who were inside the parliament building reportedly fled through an underground channel to a nearby government building.

Kenyan police fired live rounds at demonstrators who had entered the parliament building on Tuesday in protest of a controversial finance bill that includes tax hikes.

Kenyan lawmakers who were inside the parliament building reportedly fled through an underground channel to a nearby government building.

Part of the building was on fire. 

CNN reported that Auma Obama, the half-sister of former U.S. President Barack Obama, was "teargassed by police" during a live interview while protesting against the finance bill.
