Ex-Pakistan Prime Minister Khan injured in shots fired at rally
Khan was ousted from office in April.
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured Thursday when shots were fired at a rally.
A bullet hit Khan in the left leg or foot, according to news reports.
The incident occurred just outside the town of Gujranwallah, according to CNN.
At least three people required medical treatment as a result of the incident, Sky News reports.
The shots were reportedly fired by a lone gunman, with Khan supporters calling the incident an assassination attempt.
Khan was ousted from office in April. He was disqualified in October from running for office again for five years after Pakistan's elections commission found he unlawfully sold government gifts and concealed his assets.
