At least roughly 150 people were killed in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday after a packed Halloween street event turned deadly with reports of surging crowds crushing bystanders to death.
Images and videos flooded the Internet over the weekend of bodies piled up in the streets of Seoul's Itaweon neighborhood, where a Halloween parade or party had been taking place.
Reports from the city said that at least 150 others were injured.
The exact cause of death of the dozens of victims was unknown, though the Yonhap News Agency claimed multiple people suffered "cardiac arrest" as part of the deadly incident.
