No survivors found amid wreckage of Chinese airline

No survivors have been found amid the wreckage of a China Eastern flight that on Monday plummeted to earth atop a remote mountainside, according to reports.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft carried 123 passengers and nine crew. Searchers have found wreckage, debris, and burned foliage, but no survivors, Chinese authorities have said.

Investigators have not yet found flight data and cockpit voice recorders that could help explain why the plane went down, officials said.
