Brazilian President Lula is in stable condition in intensive care after undergoing emergency brain surgery on Tuesday.
Lula, 79, had the successful operation performed at Sirio Libanes Hospital.
Doctors said at a press conference that Lula was in surgery for about two hours.
Lula reportedly had a worsening headache and an MRI scan detected an intracranial hemorrhage, which required the surgery to be performed, according to the Brazilian government.
