At least 15 dead in Prague university shooting, gunman 'eliminated,' police say

A mass shooting Thursday in a university in downtown Prague left at least 15 people dead, Police of the Czech Republic said.
The shooter has been "eliminated," police said, as translated, on X, formerly Twitter.
The shooting occurred in Prague's Jan Palach Square at Faculty of Arts of Charles University, where the shooter was a student, Prague Police Chief Martin Vondrasek said, according to The Associated Press.
The suspect has not been identified, and ivestigators do not suspect that the shooter was linked to any extremist groups, Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakusan said.
