King Charles III doing 'extremely well' amid cancer diagnosis, queen announces
The palace did not specify what form of cancer Charles was diagnosed with nor the stage it is in.
Queen Camilla announced that her husband, King Charles III, is doing "extremely well" amid his cancer diagnosis.
“Well he’s doing extremely well under the circumstances,’’ she said during a charity event Thursday at Salisbury Cathedral. “He’s very touched by all the letters and the messages the public have been sending from everywhere – that’s very cheering.”
Camilla met with workers from Wiltshire Air Ambulance who have offered their best wishes to the king during his treatment, according to NBC News.
Charles, 75, started cancer treatment Monday, the same the Royal Palace announced that Charles had cancer, and his doctors advised him to postpone public duties at this time. But the monarch of the United Kingdom will continue to conduct official business as usual, officials said.
The king informed both of his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, before the announcement was public.
