Russia and Ukraine exchange hundreds of prisoners
The major exchange comes after similar deals were made earlier in the war.
Russia and Ukraine exchanged hundreds of prisoners of war on Wednesday under a deal brokered by the United Arab Emirates.
Ukraine said it received 230 of its prisoners of war while Russia's Defense Ministry said 248 Russian servicemen were released, according to The Associated Press. The United Arab Emirates, which has maintained business ties with Russia following the country's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, served as a mediator.
