Simone Biles says 'I love my black job' in apparent jab at Trump
Biles won a gold medal in women's team gymnastics at the Paris Olympics
U.S. gymnastics star Simone Biles wrote on social media, "I love my black job," in an apparent jab at former President Trump on Friday.
The 2024 GOP presidential nominee has often said that illegal immigrants released into the U.S. will ultimately take "black jobs." Most recently, Trump repeated that argument during an appearance at a gathering of black journalists this week.
“I will tell you that coming from the border, are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking black jobs," he said.
When asked to define what he means by a black job, Trump said it means any job.
"Anybody that has a job,” Trump said. “They’re taking the employment away from black people.”
Biles won the gold medal in women's team gymnastics at the Paris Olympics.
She wrote, "I love my black job" in response to Ricky Davila, a singer-songwriter from Philadelphia, who posted: "Simone Biles being the GOAT, winning Gold medals and dominating gymnastics is her black job."
